Reviewing submissions

For government agency reviewers — how submitted projects arrive in your office's inbox and how you accept or reject them.

This guide is for government agency reviewers — the staff who receive projects, rather than the citizens or planners who create them. When someone submits a project to a government organization for review, this is what happens on your side.

The submissions inbox

Submitted projects arrive in a submissions inbox scoped to your office. You see the projects submitted to your office in one place, so reviewing is a matter of working through the inbox rather than hunting across the app.

The submission lifecycle

Each submission moves through a simple status lifecycle:

  • Submitted — the project has been sent to your office and is waiting on a decision.
  • Accepted — you've approved the submission.
  • Rejected — you've declined the submission.

From a submitted item, you act on it by accepting or rejecting it, which moves it out of the pending state.

Notifications

When you accept or reject a submission, an email notification is sent, so the submitter learns the outcome without checking back manually.
